KAJIAN POTENSI PENINGKATAN PENUMPANG KERETA API BANDUNG RAYA DI STASIUN CICALENGKA

Abstract

The fast development of the dwelling area usage around East Bandung region causes demand on high movement, such as the transportation to Bandung downtown as their work place, school or other activities’ destination. This high movement is surely emerging the opportunity of the means of transportation need to or from the downtown by optimizing the use of train from Cicalengka railway station. This study is aimed at giving input on the service increase at Cicalengka Railway Station as Bandung-Cicalengka commuter line to anticipate the explosion of the passengers which could be happen in the future. The method used in this study is passangers’ projection which is influenced by the rapid growth of the area usage development through the category analysis method. Besides, it’s also influenced by the moda-changing from potential passsangers or users to real passangers by using the binary-logit method. The result of the study shows that the service of Cicalengka railway station is potentially increased in the future.
