Publication Ethics

Our ethic statements are based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Jurnal Ekspansi: Jurnal Ekonomi, Keuangan, Perbankan, dan Akuntansi is a scientific journal published by the Bandung State Polytechnic, Department of Accounting. This scientific code of ethics statement is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, reviewers, and authors. In principle, this Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication upholds three ethical values in publication, these are:

  1. Neutrality, i.e. free from conflicts of interest in the management of publications;
  2. Fairness, i.e. granting authorship rights to those who are entitled as authors.; and
  3. Honesty, i.e. free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

Roles and Responsibilities of Chief Editor :

  1. Determine the journal name, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation if required.
  2. Determine editor membership.
  3. Define the relationship between publishers, editors, reviewers, and other parties.
  4. Respect confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors, editors, and reviewers.
  5. Apply the norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
  6. Review journal policies and communicate them to authors, editors, reviewers, and readers.
  7. Establish code of conduct guidelines for editors and bestarial reviewers.
  8. Regularly publish in journals.
  9. Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publishing.
  10. Building cooperation and marketing networks.
  11. Improving the quality of the journal.
  12. Prepare licenses and other legal aspects.

  Roles and Responsibilities of the Editor

  1. Editors provide comments on the author's writing so that readers can understand what the author wants to convey, through comments written on the manuscript and or discussion facilities on the journal website.
  2. The editor provides comments on the author's writing in accordance with grammar or language that is in accordance with the standardization of the journal.
  3. Editors strive for continuous improvement of publication quality;
  4. Editors prioritize freedom of speech objectively,
  5. Editors submit corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies where necessary,
  6. The editor ensures that the author's writing does not involve racism or anything that can harm the publisher and coordinates the author's writing to the editor-in-chief of the publisher if the writing is slightly controversial.
  7. The editor receives, reviews, and follows up on complaints from all parties involved in journal publishing.;
  8. Editors support initiatives to educate researchers on publication ethics,
  9. Editors do not retain opinions of themselves, authors or third parties that may lead to unobjective decisions,
  10. Editors encourage authors/writers to make improvements to the paper so that it is suitable for publication.
  11. Editors layout manuscripts to be published so that they fit the journal template.
  12. The editor assists the editor-in-chief in finalizing the collection of manuscripts before printing and publication, especially in terms of language, format and layout.

Roles and Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers

  1. Provide objective and unbiased written feedback on the scientific value and contribution of the manuscript to the development of knowledge;
  2. Indicates whether the writing is clear, complete, and relevant, and whether the manuscript is appropriate for the journal's scope;
  3. Not provide personal criticism or comments; and
  4. Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript, by not discussing it with unrelated parties, or disclosing the information contained in the manuscript to other parties.

Website Administrator Roles and Responsibilities

The Website Administrator is the person responsible for managing the journal's website. Specifically, the scope of duties of the Website Administrator is as follows:

  1. Setting up the journal website;
  2. Configure system options and manage user accounts;
  3. Conduct registration for editors, reviewers, and authors;
  4. Manage journal features;
  5. View report statistics;
