Publication Ethics

The Journal of Applied Islamic Economics and Finance (hereinafter referred to as JAIEF) is one of the journals managed by the Bandung State Polytechnic Accounting Department which was first published in 2020. JAIEF has 3 publications per volume and publishes articles or scientific works of research results in the field of Economics, Econometrics, and Finance in general, especially in the field of Islamic economics and finance.

This statement of the scientific code of ethics is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, peer reviewers, and authors. The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications basically upholds three ethical values in publications, namely (i) Neutral, which is free from conflicts of interest in the management of publications; (ii) Fair, namely granting authorship rights to those entitled to become authors; and (iii) Honest, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.

Publisher Responsibilities

  1. JAIEF Publisher (Department of Accounting at the Bandung State Polytechnic) is responsible for publishing the manuscript which after going through the editing, reviewing, and layout processes in accordance with the scientific journal publishing rules.
  2. JAIEF publishers are responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and Mitrabestari in carrying out their respective duties.
  3. JAIEF publishers are responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, and editorial freedom.

Editor's Responsibilities

  1. The JAIEF editor is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are worthy of publication through an editorial board meeting that refers to the applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism.
  2. In the process of reviewing and accepting manuscripts, the JAIEF editorial team is based on the principle of equality of treatment in making the decision to publish manuscripts without distinction of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the author.
  3. JAIEF's editors and editorial team will not disclose any information about the submitted manuscript or manuscripts except with the permission of the author.
  4. Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by JAIEF editors for their own benefit and will be returned directly to the authors.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

JAIEF reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts.

  2. The manuscript review is carried out objectively, and is supported by clear arguments.
  3. JAIEF reviewers are responsible for citations, references, duplications, data fabrication, falsification of data and plagiarism of the manuscripts they review.
  4. JAIEF reviewers must always maintain the confidentiality of information and not use information from the manuscripts they have reviewed for personal gain/interest.

Author's Responsibilities

  1. Authors must present the results of their thoughts or research clearly, honestly, and without duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism.
  2. The author is responsible for the confirmation submitted for the manuscript that has been written.
  3. Authors must indicate references to the opinions and works of others cited.
  4. The author must write the manuscript ethically, honestly and responsibly, in accordance with applicable scientific writing regulations.
  5. The author does not mind if the manuscript undergoes editing in the review process and layout without changing the substance or main idea of the article.
